An established semiconductor contract manufacturing company is seeking a Semiconductor Manufacturing Operator to join its advanced 300mm wafer fabrication facility in Mie, Japan.
In this entry-level manufacturing position, you will operate automated semiconductor processing equipment, support wafer manufacturing operations, and perform routine production data entry in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Working within a 4-team, 2-shift rotation, you will contribute to continuous 24/7 semiconductor production while maintaining strict quality standards, following technical operating procedures, and ensuring safe and efficient equipment operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated semiconductor manufacturing equipment used in wafer fabrication processes.
- Perform routine semiconductor wafer production tasks while maintaining product quality and manufacturing standards.
- Monitor equipment operating conditions and follow established manufacturing procedures.
- Enter production records, equipment information, and operational data using PC terminals connected to fabrication equipment.
- Operate semiconductor processing machinery in accordance with technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
- Identify equipment alerts, manufacturing irregularities, or operational abnormalities and report them through established escalation procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth 24-hour semiconductor production operations.
- Communicate production status and equipment information during shift handovers.
- Maintain compliance with cleanroom operating procedures, workplace safety requirements, and quality control standards.
- Support stable and efficient semiconductor manufacturing through accurate equipment operation and production documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- High school diploma or higher.
- No previous semiconductor manufacturing experience required.
- Basic PC operation skills, including entering production records and equipment data.
- Ability to follow written technical manuals and standardized manufacturing procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work a 4-team, 2-shift rotating schedule, including 10-hour shifts and night shifts.
- Ability to perform manufacturing duties in a controlled cleanroom environment.
