Head of Car Rental Operations - Japan

A global travel service company is seeking a Head of Car Rental Operations to lead and grow its car rental business in Japan, focusing on strategic planning, market analysis, and supplier relations.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategic plans for the car rental business, covering revenue management, cost control, and marketing initiatives.
• Conduct market research to refine business strategies and stay ahead of market trends.
• Develop and sustain long-term partnerships with key suppliers to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with internal teams across regions to ensure smooth local operations.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring optimal organizational structure and staffing.

Required skills

• Over 8 years of senior management experience in the car rental or travel industry.
• Strong strategic planning skills and business insight, with a successful track record in local market operations.
• Excellent leadership abilities, capable of identifying and nurturing talent, and driving team success.
• Willingness to travel (up to 40%).
• Fluent Japanese, Business English.
