Join a major global technology organisation as a DevOps Engineer, working within an international Platform Engineering team responsible for scalable CI/CD infrastructure, automation, reliability, and developer productivity.
You will manage and continuously improve shared engineering platforms used by development teams across multiple environments and regions. The role combines DevOps, Platform Engineering, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, monitoring, and SRE practices.
You will also build self-service capabilities that simplify developer onboarding, reduce repetitive operational work, and enable engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate applications more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously enhance shared CI/CD platforms supporting development teams across multiple environments and regions.
- Administer CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Tekton, or equivalent platforms.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployments, and platform maintenance using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Build and maintain infrastructure automation using technologies such as Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Operate and improve production Kubernetes and container orchestration environments.
- Manage container registries and artifact platforms such as Artifactory, Harbor, or equivalent technologies.
- Develop automation and developer self-service capabilities to simplify onboarding and reduce repetitive operational tasks.
- Establish and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and capacity management processes.
- Maintain platform availability and reliability through proactive monitoring and incident management.
- Manage platform upgrades, plugins, configurations, security patches, and other technology-stack updates.
- Partner with internal development teams to understand engineering requirements and improve platform services and developer experience.
- Participate in operational support rotations and investigate production or platform incidents.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to preventative improvements.
- Promote DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across the engineering organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on administration experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Tekton, or equivalent technologies.
- Practical experience managing container registries or artifact platforms such as Artifactory or Harbor.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, Helm, or Kustomize.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python, Bash, Groovy, or comparable languages.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Experience supporting production infrastructure, platform services, or developer tooling.
- Understanding of incident management, troubleshooting, and platform reliability practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong collaboration skills for working with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to identifying platform issues and implementing scalable improvements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure and CI/CD environments.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Basic-level proficiency is sufficient for this position.
- English: Fluent-level proficiency required for daily collaboration within an international engineering and Platform Engineering environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience designing or operating developer platforms and self-service infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
- Experience supporting CI/CD or cloud-native platforms used by multiple development teams.
- Knowledge of platform security, patch management, capacity planning, and infrastructure reliability.
- Experience participating in operational support or on-call rotations.
- Experience conducting post-incident reviews and implementing preventative actions.
- Knowledge of developer experience (DevEx) and internal developer platform concepts.
- Experience operating highly available infrastructure across multiple environments or regions.
