Join a major global automotive group as a Dealer Network Management Director, leading dealer network strategy, development, and business improvement initiatives for established automotive brands across Japan.
Based in Tokyo, you will shape the long-term direction of the dealer network, covering dealer development, network restructuring, profitability improvement, contracts, facility projects, digital transformation, and BEV charging infrastructure.
You will lead high-impact projects including new investor recruitment, dealer replacement and consolidation, M&A-related network restructuring, dealership relocation and refurbishment, DMS and CRM development, and digital customer journey initiatives.
Working with senior management, dealers, investors, global headquarters, group brands, and external partners, you will play a key role in developing the future of the company's physical and digital automotive retail network in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term automotive dealer network strategies based on market and competitor analysis.
- Recruit and evaluate new investors and business partners to expand the dealer network into strategically important areas.
- Lead dealer replacement, consolidation, termination, and M&A-related network reorganisation projects.
- Manage dealership relocation, refurbishment, rebuilding, and facility enhancement projects.
- Oversee dealer contracts, amendments, contractual compliance, and corrective actions across the dealer networks.
- Lead EV charging network and BEV infrastructure development initiatives in collaboration with dealers, group brands, and external providers.
- Oversee DMS and CRM development and upgrade projects as the business-side project owner.
- Monitor dealer profitability using BMRS data and develop initiatives to improve financial performance.
- Supervise retail audits and mystery shopping activities across dealerships in Japan.
- Lead key digital customer journey initiatives, including e-commerce and connected customer platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- University degree.
- Excellent business or IT project management experience, with the ability to lead complex cross-functional projects from planning through execution.
- Strong contractual knowledge and experience managing budgets.
- Advanced statistical analysis capabilities.
- Basic understanding of legal requirements related to construction.
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
