Roles/Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and management of the database platform, ensuring smooth functioning and high performance.
- Lead the implementation of scalable, resilient, and optimized hybrid and public cloud solutions.
- Analyze metrics from OS, Network, and Applications to troubleshoot issues and develop long-term solutions.
- Establish and maintain high service quality and uptime through defined processes and metrics, including root cause analysis.
- Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts, intellectual property development, and influence product development strategies.
- Collaborate with users to enhance their experience and consult on migrating legacy applications to modern database technologies.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop future technical leaders within the organization.
Required skills
- 12-15 years of experience in leading database teams, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- 8-10 years of management experience, with at least 5 years overseeing first-line managers.
- Extensive hands-on experience with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra) and cloud solutions.
Preferred skills
- Expertise in database operations, change management, incident management, and automation using DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in Linux and database performance tuning, with experience in building solutions with cloud technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and experience working in diverse cultural environments.
