A global innovator in robotic surgery is seeking a Customer Training Manager to lead education strategy, operational delivery, and team development across Japan. You'll drive training programs for surgeons and clinical staff, oversee training center operations, and collaborate with global and local stakeholders to align training initiatives with business goals. Key Responsibilities
- Strategically align training programs with business objectives and collaborate with surgical societies and key networks
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing customer training team
- Represent the training function internally and externally, delivering clear communication to diverse stakeholders
- Establish and optimize training centers, track resource use and program effectiveness through CRM analytics
- Drive program development using modern training technologies and propose continuous improvements
- Execute hands-on training programs for surgeons, OR staff, residents, and fellows, including occasional OR support
- Manage trainer scheduling, conduct effectiveness surveys, and align training KPIs with broader company goals
- Coordinate globally to ensure training process standardization
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience including 4+ years in training leadership
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in healthcare or education
- Proven ability to design and implement impactful training strategies
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of medical and surgical training environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in medical device training or hospital education
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and e-learning platforms
