A global travel technology company is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the growth of its ground transportation services in Japan, focusing on strategic partnerships, sales performance optimization, and market expansion.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for Japan's ground transportation market.
- Build and maintain partnerships with key players and suppliers in the travel and transportation sectors.
- Negotiate contracts to enhance ticket booking offerings and expand market reach.
- Analyze market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities and drive data-based decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product, to optimize sales channels and deliver sales targets.
Required skills
- 3-5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the travel industry.
- Proven success in exceeding sales targets and cultivating strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of Japan's inbound and outbound tourism markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level proficiency in English or Chinese (Korean proficiency is a plus).
