CISO - Fintech Security Leadership & Cyber Risk Strategy

You will design and execute a full security program covering cloud infrastructure, risk management, compliance, and incident response. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's security strategy, governance framework, and long-term roadmap

• Establish and manage security controls across cloud infrastructure and internal systems

• Lead risk management, compliance efforts, and audit readiness for industry standards

• Define and enforce policies for identity management, access control, and secure authentication

• Build and oversee incident response, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management processes

• Collaborate with executive leadership and engineering teams to ensure organization-wide security alignment

• Promote security awareness and prepare to build a dedicated cybersecurity team as the company grows

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management

• Proven experience designing or managing enterprise security programs (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.)

• Hands-on experience with cloud security architecture in AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Strong background in identity management, access control, and security infrastructure

• Experience leading security initiatives in regulated industries such as finance or payments

• Experience collaborating with executives and cross-functional teams on security matters

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership with the ability to guide technical and non-technical teams

• Excellent communication skills for presenting risk and strategy to stakeholders

• High accountability and ownership in driving company-wide security initiatives

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to make balanced, risk-based decisions

• Ability to collaborate effectively and build trust across departments

Language Requirements:

• English: Fluent

• Japanese: Conversational

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA

• Experience building security programs in high-growth or startup environments

• Familiarity with financial-sector security standards and regulated tech platforms
