    Business Development Manager - Hotel Partnerships

    About the job

    Join a leading global travel distribution platform and drive strategic hotel partnerships across the Kanto region. As a Business Development Manager, you will secure new accommodation partners, negotiate commercial agreements, and build long-term growth strategies with key hotel providers. This is a high-impact role focused on expanding supplier networks and maximizing revenue performance within Japan's competitive hospitality market.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and acquire new hotel partners within the assigned Kanto territory.
    • Conduct in-person meetings with hotel owners and commercial leaders to present the platform's value proposition.
    • Negotiate competitive rates, allocation terms, and long-term commercial agreements.
    • Structure differentiated partnership conditions to maximize mutual revenue growth.
    • Prioritize accounts based on revenue uplift potential and strategic value.
    • Develop joint business plans to increase partner performance and conversion.
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine contracting strategies.
    • Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and transition.
    • Support strategic account planning and long-term supplier relationship management.
    • Represent the organization at industry events and travel trade gatherings.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Direct experience within the travel, hospitality, or hotel industry.
    • Proven background in commercial, contracting, or supplier-facing business development roles.
    • Experience negotiating commercial terms and partnership agreements.
    • Experience conducting in-person sales meetings and territory management.
    • Demonstrated ability to grow and optimize supplier portfolios.
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong hunter mindset with the ability to independently open new business opportunities.
    • Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen.
    • Relationship-driven with a consultative sales approach.
    • Data-driven decision maker with structured planning capability.
    • Agile and adaptable in a fast-paced, international environment.
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Native or Fluent level (client-facing communication).
    • English: Business level (regional collaboration).

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Exposure to regional or multinational reporting structures.
    • Experience managing both acquisition and renewal negotiations.
    • Understanding of revenue management or hotel distribution models.
