Senior Utilities Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the day-to-day activities within the utilities area including maintenance and operations functions.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to all environmental, safety and quality legislation, certifications, standards and legislation.
• Develop and implement progressive planned & predictive asset management and maintenance
• systems.
• Carryout inspections of equipment and systems within the utilities area.
• Develop and execute plansand solutions for equipment/systems repair where issues arise.
• Plan and coordinate major planned maintenance interventions within the utilities area.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem solving relating to utilities.
• Develop & implement solution-based protocols.
• Develop key cross functional relationships with Production, Quality, Environmental, Maintenanceand Engineering departments.
• Coach and mentor the maintenance and operational teams to help advance their technicalknowledge.
• Develop and maintain an environment of continuous improvement and process excellence.
• Develop and lead on improvements to increase plant and utilities efficiencies and drive processexcellence.
• Lead & support trials, plant and process modifications, investigation studies etc.
• Undertake, manage and report on specific plant and utilities improvement projects.
• Provide technical support to large projects and major equipment upgrades and maintenance.
• Engage and build relationships with OEM's, other equipment vendors and raw material providers.
• Keep up to date with new and relevant technologies to perform role to a high standard of competence and propose upgrades and projects.

Qualification/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline inc. Mechanical, Manufacturing,Energy or Chemical.
• 5+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing or utilities environment.
