Ready to take the lead on a business-critical accounting change programme? This role puts you at the centre of a group-wide transformation, steering the implementation of new revenue recognition and lease accounting standards across a complex, fast-moving organisation.
You'll own the delivery of accounting and process changes driven by the latest FRS102 amendments, working closely with Finance, operational teams and external advisors. From shaping processes and policies to selecting and embedding new lease accounting software, you'll turn technical requirements into practical, business-ready reality.
Alongside the project, you'll also support the Group Financial Controller on BAU activities such as year-end reporting, audit preparation and integration work linked to a new parent company.
What you'll be driving:
* Leading the implementation of revenue and lease accounting changes under updated FRS102
* Gathering and analysing business-wide data with support from external specialists
* Designing and documenting new processes, controls and accounting policies
* Collaborating with departments to align ERP system use to new requirements
* Selecting and rolling out third-party lease accounting software
* Supporting wider finance priorities including audit and reporting
What you'll bring:
* Deep technical expertise in FRS102 and/or IFRS (especially IFRS15 & IFRS16)
* Strong understanding of ERP systems and how processes translate into accounting outcomes
* A sharp analytical mind with exceptional attention to detail
* Confident communication skills to partner across Finance and the wider business
* Experience within construction, infrastructure or similar sectors (desirable)
* ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with 5+ years PQE
This is a high-impact assignment for someone who enjoys shaping frameworks, solving technical puzzles and turning complexity into clarity. A chance to leave a tangible legacy in just six months. Your presence in their Surrey based Head office will be required too so this is not a remote position.
