Morgan McKinley is partnering with a client to hire for an experienced Regional Category Manager - Liquor to drive category strategy, commercial performance, and supplier partnerships across the APAC region. This is a highly regional role with strong exposure to global stakeholders, regional commercial teams, and key international liquor brands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute APAC liquor category strategies aligned with global direction
* Drive assortment planning, promotions, pricing, markdown and portfolio optimisation
* Identify new business opportunities, regional brands, and market expansion opportunities
* Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and brand principals
* Support regional tenders, negotiations, and commercial agreements
* Analyse sales performance, market trends, and KPIs to improve category growth and profitability
* Collaborate closely with country commercial teams, operations, demand planning, and shop development teams
* Provide market intelligence and insights across the APAC liquor landscape
Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years of experience within the Liquor category
* Strong exposure across APAC markets
* Proven negotiation, commercial, and business development capabilities
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent Excel skills
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regional and global teams
* Strong communication and presentation skills
