SEO Specialist

We're partnering with a leading institution in the higher education sector currently delivering a large-scale digital transformation program. They're seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimising content and driving organic performance across a modernised digital ecosystem.

This is a 6 month contract role payiying up to $700 per day + super. depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies aligned to the university's digital transformation objectives.

• Conduct technical audits, keyword research, competitor analysis, and content optimisation.

• Collaborate with content, UX, development, and marketing teams to drive search performance across core student- and research-facing platforms.

• Optimise content across a range of websites to improve rankings, traffic, and engagement.

• Monitor performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

• Provide SEO guidance during website migration, content consolidation, and new platform implementations.

• Report on SEO performance, insights, and opportunities to a range of stakeholders.

About You

• Proven experience in a dedicated SEO role-ideally within complex, content-rich organisations.

• Strong technical and on-page SEO expertise, including familiarity with accessibility, metadata, and schema.

• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Experience working in large digital or content transformation programs.

• Familiarity with the higher education sector or public institutions is a plus.
