Responsibilities:
- Provide solutions, make evidence-based recommendations and support senior executives to successfully manage employee relations issues across the organisation.
- Manage complex caseload of misconduct matters or end to end investigation process, analysing and assessing substantial allegations of reportable conduct, reportable incidents and misconduct against employees in accordance with legislative requirements and internal policies and practices.
- Appear before various industrial tribunals on behalf of the organisation to ensure the organisation meets legislative and government policy requirements.
- Provide thorough advice and recommendations to management following the investigation, analysis and assessment of allegations of reportable conduct, reportable incidents and/or misconduct against or by employees.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a framework to manage allegations of reportable conduct, reportable incidents and/or misconduct against or by employees, including changes to procedure and/or policy that address potential systemic issues and themes identified as a result of the investigations.
- Assist in negotiations with unions on industrial matters, including the making of new employment conditions to ensure equitable and pragmatic resolutions to disputes and major industrial issues are achieved.
Requirements:
- Experience in managing end to end investigation in cases of misconduct and performance concerns
- Background in industrial relations
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Current, valid Driver's licence and willingness to travel. Overnight stay may be required
