Treasury Accountant

Morgan McKinley is delighted to bring to market this exciting opportunity for a Treasury and Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and well-established organisation.

Working within a collaborative environment, you'll report to the financial controller and partner closely with internal stakeholders across finance and operations. This role offers strong exposure to cross-border payments, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and financial close, making it a great fit for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily cash management activities, ensuring effective tracking and reconciliation of bank transactions across a network of accounts and currencies.
• Execute and monitor foreign exchange transactions and international payment flows in line with business needs and compliance frameworks.
• Deliver accurate and timely reconciliations of banking activities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Financial Control teams to optimise working capital.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual budgets, aligning treasury forecasts with broader financial planning.
• Manage the accurate and timely submission of VAT, VIES, and INTRASTAT returns across multiple group entities.
• Assist in monthly and annual close activities, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed within required timelines.
• Maintain adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and external regulatory obligations.
• Support internal and external audit requirements with clear and reliable documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in managing multi-bank, multi-currency operations, ideally in a group structure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over assigned areas.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and follow up on outstanding issues with stakeholders and authorities.
• Collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works effectively across departments.
