12 month hourly rate contract for a Limerick based Senior Project Leader to oversee and deliver complex biopharma projects from inception to completion.
This critical role demands a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The leader is directly accountable for aligning all project goals with corporate strategy and driving continuous improvement in project management processes.
- Responsibilities:
- Project Strategy and Planning: Lead the overall planning and implementation of projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational business objectives.
- Resource and Financial Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of all resources.
- Team Leadership and Motivation: Build, lead, and motivate cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks, ensuring accountability, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Stakeholder Communication and Risk Control: Serve as the central point of contact, managing stakeholder expectations, communicating status, and proactively identifying and developing strategies for mitigating project risks and issues.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement: Ensure all project deliverables meet established quality standards and stakeholder expectations, while also driving continuous improvement in project management best practices.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare, present, and maintain comprehensive project reports and documentation for both stakeholders and senior management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Skills, Attributes & Experience:
- Requires BS/BEng in Chemical, Process or Mechanical engineering with 7 - 10 years related experience in project management, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred.
- GMP and GDP experience would be desirable.
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
