Overview:
A great opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join a leading buildings material company in Co. Cavan.
You will work within the existing Technical Team but work closely with the other technical teams
across the division.

Customer-facing position providing high-quality technical support to the construction industry

Strong focus on digital technologies to enhance the customer and specification experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate confidently with customers on a wide range of construction-related technical topics
-
Provide technical support to both transactional and non-transactional customers during product specification
-
Advise on product performance across multiple disciplines, including:
-
Fire performance
-
Environmental impact
-
Thermal performance
-
Structural performance
-
Acoustic performance
-

Carry out design and performance calculations using provided software, including:
-
Gutter design calculations
-
Fastener calculations and panel span checks
-
Acoustic performance calculations
-
U-value and condensation risk calculations
-
-
Develop in-house CAD details and bespoke technical details for project-specific applications
-
Support digital specification services in collaboration with BIM teams
-
Provide bespoke design support to architects via:
-
AutoCAD
-
Revit
-
Other 3D modelling and visualisation software
-
Augmented reality tools
-

Deliver virtual technical consultations and attend face-to-face meetings with architects, engineers, and contractors when required
-
Proactively record and manage specification opportunities using CRM systems to support external sales teams

Assist and mentor junior team members
-
Support departmental and cross-functional technical projects
-
Undertake additional duties aligned with the role's capabilities
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
Previous experience within the construction industry
-
Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla is advantageous
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
