We are recruiting on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer for an experienced Process Engineer to join their Small Molecule Business Unit. This is a user representative role embedded within a dynamic capital projects environment, offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of high-impact initiatives including capacity expansion, facility modernisation, and infrastructure improvement programmes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will act as the primary business representative interfacing with capital project delivery teams, responsible for translating high-level business objectives into clear, actionable user requirements and driving these through all stages of project execution- from early conceptual design through to facility startup and production readiness.
While the core focus of the role sits within small molecule API project delivery, there will be occasions where broader process engineering support is required across the wider business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with business stakeholders to represent operational needs within the capital project delivery team
- Translate high-level business requirements into a coherent scope and tangible user requirements that can be actioned by a project team
- Establish concise user requirements and collaborate effectively across multiple functions to enable safe and on-time project delivery
- Participate in all phases of capital project delivery from early conceptual design through to production and facility startup
- Provide process engineering support to the broader small molecule business as required
Candidate Profile
- Third-level qualification in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of tenyears' experience in API manufacturing and/or capital project delivery, including experience across:
- Conceptual design and strategic thinking
- Equipment and process design and capital project delivery
- C&Q planning, test execution and implementation strategies
- Experience in process safety and quality compliance within API manufacturing and project delivery
- Proven ability to work within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and make timely, effective decisions
