Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Services professional to join a well-established financial services organisation within a client servicing and operations team. This is a fixed-term contract with potential for extension depending on business requirements.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing relationships across cash, trade activity, reporting, and operational queries. The role requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams to deliver a high-quality client experience.
This position would suit candidates with experience in Fund Services, Custody, Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance environments who are comfortable managing client queries in a fast-paced operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
- Manage client queries across portfolios including cash and trade activity.
- Deliver proactive, high-quality communication and service support.
- Conduct service reviews and support due diligence activities.
- Support complex client onboarding activities and new business initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Operational Oversight & Governance
- Support day-to-day servicing activities across the client services function.
- Complete and review daily operational reports and commentary for management sign-off.
- Monitor control checks, reconciliations, dashboards, and workflow reporting.
- Manage shared mailboxes and prioritise client requests effectively.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate.
Training & Collaboration
- Participate in departmental training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of junior team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider team.
- Work collaboratively within a team supporting a broad client base.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in Client Services, Custody, Fund Services, Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to manage multiple queries and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within a team-based operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and navigate bespoke internal systems.
- Experience producing operational or management reporting would be advantageous.
Additional Information
- Full training and onboarding support will be provided, including structured support during the induction period.
- Candidates are expected to attend onsite full-time during the initial training phase.
- The expectation is that the successful contractor will become fully operational within the first several weeks of joining.
- Hybrid working arrangements will apply following completion of training.
