Join an innovative automotive technology and manufacturing company as a Plant HR Manager based in Kumagaya, Saitama. Acting as the standalone on-site HR Manager, you will take ownership of a broad range of plant HR operations, labor management, employee relations, talent development, and general affairs.
This hands-on position offers significant responsibility for supporting employees and business leaders across the manufacturing site. You will manage day-to-day HR activities while driving process improvements, workforce planning, employee engagement, and HR system initiatives within a global automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR system implementation and support improvements to HR processes and operations across the manufacturing site.
- Manage hands-on plant HR operations and provide day-to-day HR support to employees and management.
- Lead headcount and workforce planning, including labor management and personnel cost management.
- Manage employee relations and support effective resolution of workplace and labor-related matters.
- Coordinate global HR activities, including visa, employee mobility, and temporary staff management.
- Drive talent development and performance management initiatives across the organization.
- Develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention.
- Manage general affairs activities required for efficient plant operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and take ownership of implementing effective HR solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Over 6 years of relevant HR experience.
- Hands-on HR experience within a manufacturing plant or factory environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience across multiple HR functions.
- Experience with HR operations, employee relations, workforce planning, talent development, or performance management.
- Knowledge of Japanese labor laws and employment practices.
- Bachelor's degree.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate independently as an on-site HR representative.
- Strong ownership and ability to manage a broad range of HR responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and global stakeholders.
- Practical understanding of manufacturing plant operations.
