    About the job

    Join a cutting-edge automotive technology R&D center in Tokyo as an HR Business Partner & HRIS Specialist. This role combines HR business partnering, HRIS implementation, HR operations, and people strategy, offering the opportunity to support senior leadership while helping shape HR policies and processes within an innovative technology environment.

    You will work across strategic and hands-on HR initiatives, translating business objectives into effective people strategies while supporting organizational transformation, employee engagement, and retention. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to broaden their impact within a global, technology-driven organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and support HRIS system implementation and ongoing HR technology initiatives.
    • Manage hands-on HR operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
    • Plan, develop, and implement HR policies and people-related programs aligned with business objectives.
    • Partner with senior leadership to translate business priorities into practical HR and people strategies.
    • Support organizational transformation initiatives with a focus on employee engagement and retention.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across the organization to deliver effective HR solutions.
    • Contribute across a broad range of HR functions in a fast-paced R&D and technology environment.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience:
    • Over 6 years of relevant HR experience.
    • Deep experience in HRIS and HR operations, including HR system implementation or transformation.
    • Strong knowledge of strategic HR and proven experience in HR business partnering.
    • Experience translating business objectives into effective people and organizational strategies.
    • Experience developing and implementing HR policies.
    • Experience working within a large organization and supporting transformation initiatives focused on employee engagement and retention.
    • Bachelor's degree.
    Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
    • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to HR operations.
    • Strong adaptability, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
    Language Requirements:
    • Japanese: Native
    • English: Intermediate/Business

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience working within a global or multinational organization.
    • Experience supporting HR transformation or organizational change initiatives.
    • Exposure to automotive, manufacturing, technology, engineering, or R&D environments.
    • Experience using HR technology and data to improve HR processes and employee experience.
