Senior Financial Analyst/ Accountant - Killarney
Overview
This role sits within the finance team and plays a key part in the financial oversight of revenue-generating projects. It involves financial planning, reporting, and analysis across a diverse project portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute to project performance evaluation and decision-making through robust financial insights and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain forward-looking cash flow projections across active and proposed projects, supporting financial planning and commercial strategy.
- Lead the financial closure process for completed projects by working across teams to ensure clean system reconciliations and data integrity.
- Design and deliver insightful project P&L reports that reflect current forecasts, highlighting risks, trends, and commercial opportunities.
- Partner with project teams to review financial outcomes, investigate key variances against budget, and present actionable insights.
- Identify and drive improvements in project financial processes, tools, and reporting methods to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
- Prepare concise monthly reporting packs for internal stakeholders, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a finance-focused role.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and structured approach to financial analysis.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and manipulate complex data sets.
- Self-starter who thrives in both team environments and independent roles, showing initiative and accountability.
