    Job Title: Medical Secretary

    My client is a well-established private medical practice committed to providing high-quality care to their patients. The team of medical professionals is dedicated to ensuring a positive patient experience, and we are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Secretary to join the team.

    Job Description:
    As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the medical professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service to the patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.
    • Management of the Consultant's diary and schedule.
    • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
    • Assist with billing and insurance claims processing.
    • Prepare and maintain medical documentation.
    • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
    • Manage inventory and order office supplies as needed.
    • Handle patient payments and assist with financial transactions.
    • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the practice.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
    • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office tools eg. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
    • Proficient in medical terminology and electronic health records is preferred.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of billing and insurance processes is a plus.
