Morgan McKinley are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in the Midlands to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance leader to take ownership of the finance function, lead a medium-sized team and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in partnering with operations and production teams, driving strong financial performance and supporting the business through continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a medium-sized finance team, providing direction, coaching and development
- Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Manage audit processes and ensure strong financial governance
- Maintain and improve compliance standards across the finance function
- Partner closely with operational and production teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership teams to drive business performance
- Support recruitment and team growth within the finance function
- Occasional travel may be required as part of the role
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience working in a Financial Controller position or similar senior finance leadership role
- Proven experience managing and developing teams
- Strong experience partnering with senior leadership stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while driving continuous improvement
