Windows & VDI Systems Engineer (Level 2) Perm

About the role

We are looking for a Windows & VDI Systems Engineer to manage our end-user environment and server infrastructure. This role is a blend of Level 2 End-User Computing (EUC) and Windows System Administration. You will be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting our VMware Horizon VDI environment, maintaining Windows Desktop images, and collaborating with senior engineers to support our global Windows Server backend.

About the job

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware Horizon View. Manage the full lifecycle of Windows Desktop/VDI images.
• Support Windows Server (2012-2019) environments and participate in the maintenance of VMware-based server infrastructure.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for regional employees, including hardware troubleshooting and application installations.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Windows and VMware-related outages or recurring issues.
• Manage and maintain Dell Desktop lines and HP Server hardware.
• Perform user management and troubleshooting within the Office 365 ecosystem.

Requirements

• With 5-10 years supporting Windows Desktop and Server OS; 3-5 years specifically focused on Windows Server 2012-2019.
• With 3-5 years of hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View and App Volumes.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for task automation.
• Experience with Shavlik, ManageEngine, or similar 3rd party patching tools.
• With experience within financial organization (Banking, FinTech, or Investment Management) is preferred
• Ability to own projects from start to finish while collaborating effectively with a global team.
• Proficient in English and Chinese
