Role overview
The Production Manager will own the full production lifecycle from order confirmation through bulk delivery, ensuring on-time, on-quality and on-cost execution with vendors in Vietnam and China. The role requires strong leadership to manage a small regional team and to drive continuous improvement through data, clear KPIs and structured problem solving.
Key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end production management from pre-production, line allocation, capacity planning, bulk follow-up to shipment, ensuring OTIF and quality targets are met.

Manage vendor performance in Vietnam and China, including capacity loading, lead time adherence, WIP tracking and issue escalation.

Analyse production, delivery and quality data to identify bottlenecks, forecast risks and recommend corrective actions.

Drive capacity management with vendors, aligning seasonal demand with factory capabilities and negotiating feasible production plans.

Partner closely with merchandising, planning, quality and technical teams to secure smooth handover from development to bulk production.

Lead problem-solving on delays, quality issues and capacity constraints using structured, data-driven methodologies.

Support vendor development, coaching factories on best practices in planning, productivity and quality, especially for complex categories such as outerwear.
Requirements

10+ years' apparel production / sourcing / merchandising experience, with at least 3 years in a production management or similar leadership role in an MNC buying or sourcing office.

Proven experience managing end-to-end production with offshore vendors, ideally across Vietnam and China.

Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Solid analytical skills; comfortable working with production, capacity and performance data (Excel or similar tools).

Strong problem-solving mindset, able to anticipate risks and drive pragmatic solutions with cross-functional partners and vendors.

Outerwear or technical garment background is highly preferred.

Good communication skills in English; Chinese or Vietnamese is an advantage for vendor communication.
