Overview
We are seeking a strategic Director to lead our Investor Relations (IR) and Corporate Communications practice. This senior role drives integrated strategies to build investor confidence, enhance corporate reputation, and support business objectives, including IPO readiness where relevant. The ideal candidate combines capital markets expertise, storytelling prowess, and senior stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and expand the IR & Corporate Communications practice, defining strategy, offerings, and revenue goals.
Advise C-suite and clients on investor communications, equity stories, market positioning, and reputation management-including IPO preparation and roadshows.
Oversee creation of investor materials like earnings decks, annual reports, ESG reports, and IPO prospectuses/briefings.
Manage analyst/investor/media engagement to deliver consistent messaging, with targeted roadshows for listings or growth phases.
Handle crisis/issues communications, ensuring compliance during high-stakes scenarios like market events or disclosures.
Collaborate with finance, legal, ESG, and marketing teams for aligned execution.
Build/mentor high-performing teams and drive new business via pitches and client relationships.
Monitor trends, investor sentiment, peer activities, and IPO benchmarks to inform advice.
Requirements
10-15+ years in IR, corporate comms, equity advisory, or related fields; IPO experience (prep, execution, post-listing) highly valued.
Deep capital markets knowledge, financial reporting, and listing rules (HKEX/SGX preferred).
Proven C-suite advisory track record in agency, consultancy, or in-house settings.
Exceptional English communication skills; Cantonese/Mandarin a plus for Hong Kong/Greater China.
Strong commercial acumen with team leadership and BD success.
