Developer (Java) - Bank - HKD 30k - 40k - Contract

About the Client

Our client is a leading bank undergoing a major digital transformation to modernize its internal and corporate banking systems.

To support their ongoing development initiatives, they are seeking a Developer to join the team.
This is a 6-month extendable secondment contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal corporate banking applications and workflow systems.
• Work closely with business analysts and IT teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable solutions.
• Integrate systems with middleware, APIs, and backend services to support enterprise operations.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirement analysis, development, testing, and implementation.
• Ensure code quality, maintain documentation, and comply with security and audit standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of enterprise application development experience, ideally in banking or financial systems.
• Proficient in Java; experience with JavaScript, J2BB, Spring, OpenShift or Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and good communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
