GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly outgoing, professional, and deeply passionate candidate with strong expertise in the skincare and cosmetics industry to lead product strategy, R&D, sourcing, and procurement across our portfolio of brands offered to customers.
This role will also guide the product development team, managing end-to-end efforts from brand acquisition through product and business development, and ultimately commercialisation.
The ideal candidate brings proven industry experience, substantial knowledge of brand licensing, and hands-on experience in product development.
You will work with a diverse range of global, regional, niche, and emerging brands across beauty, luxury, and accessories categories-and will play a key role in sustaining our market leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the branded cosmetics product development team and define category brand strategy and go-to-market plans, aligned with overall company strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with cosmetics and beauty brands, partnering with the global Brand Relationship team to drive brand engagement and secure collaborations for branded airline amenities.
- Develop and manage brand and product collections, including maintaining readily available samples and assortment readiness.
- Coordinate with cosmetic brands and manufacturing partners to develop airline amenities that meet agreed cost targets, specifications, and timelines.
- Own overall project coordination for cosmetics brand deliverables to ensure readiness for each airline tender opportunity.
- Oversee and continuously improve the category database, including the sample library, pricing information, and sample status tracking.
- Integrate sustainability considerations into product development and sourcing of materials and packaging.
- Stay current with consumer trends and translate insights into business strategy, product planning, and collection updates.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Director-grade experience with proven ability to own category strategy, drive execution, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
- 10-15 years of relevant industry experience in cosmetics/skincare and/or beauty product development, including end-to-end exposure from brand engagement through to product commercialisation.
- Strong working knowledge of the Hong Kong cosmetics and luxury brand market, including familiarity with local brand dynamics, market trends, and relevant commercial practices.
- Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with brand licensing models, including negotiations, licensing considerations, and commercialization requirements.
- Proven people leadership experience, including having managed and coached teams (e.g., product development or category specialists), setting goals, and building performance.
- Deep understanding of product development and costing fundamentals, including capability to evaluate specifications, cost targets, and feasibility across suppliers/manufacturers.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to build long-term brand/product/collection and go-to-market plans, and translate insights into business decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Brand Relationship teams globally, brands, and manufacturing partners.
- Knowledge of consumer trends and the ability to incorporate learnings into category strategy and product direction.
