About the Role:
Our client looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Shipping Manager to oversee international logistics operations. The ideal candidate will manage import and export shipments - particularly under FOB terms - from Vietnam, Cambodia, and China to our U.S. outlets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. This role also involves leading a small logistics team and coordinating closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end shipping operations, including LC documentation, import/export arrangements, and FOB business.
- Supervise and develop a small team to achieve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate shipment schedules and resolve logistical bottlenecks.
- Liaise with overseas factories, freight agents, and U.S. distributors.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation accuracy.
- Utilize ERP systems to track orders, inventory, and shipment progress.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in shipping or logistics management, preferably in the U.S. FOB market.
- Strong understanding of LC documentation, international trade, and customs processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
