Partner closely with Front Office traders, Back Office operations (Settlement, Accounting), IT development teams, and third-party vendors to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Understand and map the SDLC and/or product lifecycle for FX, FX Derivatives (FX Options, FX Futures), Money Market, and Precious Metals products.
Elicit, document, and manage user requirements; prepare functional specifications, process flows, and UAT test plans/cases.
Conduct data analysis, issue troubleshooting, and account posting analysis for FX, MM, and Precious Metals transactions.
Support end-to-end project coordination, including timeline tracking, status reporting, risk escalation, and stakeholder communication.
Perform gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities; propose practical, scalable solutions aligned with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate UAT execution, defect logging, and resolution with business users and technical teams.
Prepare clear, well-structured reports and documentation in both English and Chinese for management and audit purposes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst within the banking or financial services industry, preferably with exposure to treasury or capital markets systems.
Strong understanding of treasury products, especially FX, FX Derivatives (FX Options, FX Futures), Money Market instruments, and/or Precious Metals - with hands-on knowledge of accounting treatment and trade lifecycle.
Proven experience working in or with securities firms or vendor companies that provide treasury/banking systems to financial institutions.
Hands-on SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities; self-motivated with a strong ownership mindset.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence stakeholders across business and technology functions.
Strong written Chinese reporting skills with the ability to produce clear, professional documentation.
Highly deadline-driven; able to work independently and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
