About the Client
Our client is a leading energy and public utility provider in Hong Kong. They are currently strengthening their digital technology division to support core power generation systems and operational asset management platforms. This position offers an initial 1-year contract with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end IT project delivery and software enhancement initiatives for power generation and operational asset systems, leading project lifecycle activities from initial planning through to completion.
- Manage full project workflows including requirements gathering, integration design, system testing, deployment planning, cutover, and post-implementation support.
- Direct external technology vendors and cross-functional digital teams to ensure projects, application updates, and support outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee second-tier BAU application governance, coordinating incident resolution, root cause analysis, and operational risk mitigation for critical systems.
- Plan and schedule system upgrades, software patching, disaster recovery exercises, and technology refresh projects across complex enterprise platforms.
- Ensure all delivery governance, project documentation, architecture standards, and change management procedures strictly align with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Recognized degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in system analysis, application delivery, technical leadership, or production support.
- Hands-on technical background in .NET, JavaScript, PowerShell, APIs, middleware, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficient in relational databases and SQL technologies, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Practical experience with cloud architectures (Microsoft Azure or Alibaba Cloud) across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service models.
- Exposure to monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery, DevOps, and test automation; background in utilities or energy systems is a distinct advantage.
