Technical Program Manager - External Payment Services
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract
Location: Fully Onsite, Dublin, Ireland
A leading global technology company within the payments space has an immediate opening for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within External Payment Services. This role focuses on delivering high-impact, consumer-facing payments products and infrastructure initiatives with a strong emphasis on security, performance, availability, and reliability.
You will act as the key bridge between External Payment Services and internal engineering, product, and business stakeholders who depend on the payments infrastructure. The role requires strong program leadership to drive execution, define requirements, and ensure alignment across multiple technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of complex, cross-functional payments programs from concept through production launch
- Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define requirements and execution plans
- Manage program scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs
- Ensure delivery meets high standards of security, scalability, performance, and reliability
- Provide escalation management and drive resolution of cross-team blockers
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment across teams
- Balance business priorities with technical constraints to support effective decision-making
- Contribute to design discussions for features, systems, and web-based products
- Communicate program status, risks, and milestones clearly to stakeholders at all levels
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- 3+ years of project or program management experience in technical environments
- Prior experience as a software developer, technical lead, or in engineering operations
- Proven track record of delivering software products from concept through production deployment
- Experience with data center and/or networking infrastructure operations
- Familiarity with Linux, Java, and HTML
- Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience managing complex infrastructure or payments-related technology programs
- Strong understanding of multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Familiarity with AWS or cloud infrastructure services
- Experience in payments or mobile payments domains
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong product and program ownership capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
