Senior Technology Risk Analyst
A leading professional services and advisory organisation is seeking an experienced consultant in the IT Cyber space to join its expanding Technology Risk and Resilience team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across the financial services sector, supporting organisations as they strengthen their technology environments, manage emerging risks, and respond to evolving regulatory expectations.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of technology-focused risk, resilience, and transformation initiatives within highly regulated environments including banking, insurance, asset management, payments, and capital markets.
Role Responsibilities
You will contribute to client engagements across a broad range of technology risk and governance areas, including:
- AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, and data risk management.
- Operational and digital resilience programmes.
- Technology and cyber risk assessments and transformation initiatives.
- IT governance, controls assurance, and internal audit support.
- Third-party and outsourcing risk management.
- Regulatory readiness and compliance initiatives relating to technology risk.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality consulting engagements and supporting project delivery from planning through to reporting and implementation.
- Producing clear, accurate, and well-structured client deliverables, including assessments, reports, risk analyses, and recommendations.
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting business development activities, including proposal development, market insights, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Applying quality assurance and risk management standards throughout all stages of engagement delivery.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and best practices in technology risk and resilience.
Essential Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 2-5 years' experience in technology risk, operational resilience, cybersecurity, IT controls, technology governance, or related disciplines.
- Experience working within financial services organisations or delivering consulting services to financial institutions such as banks, insurers, investment firms, funds, or payments providers.
- A strong understanding of technology risk frameworks, governance models, and control environments.
- Experience operating within regulated environments and an awareness of regulatory expectations affecting financial institutions.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- The legal right to live and work in Ireland. Applicants must hold valid authorisation to work in Ireland; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Knowledge of key industry regulations and frameworks, including Digital Operational Resilience (DORA), operational resilience requirements, AI governance, outsourcing and third-party risk regulations.
- Familiarity with recognised industry frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC reporting frameworks, CSA CCM, and COSO.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, COBIT, or equivalent.
