An opportunity has arisen for an experienced corporate finance professional to join at senior manager level. The successful candidate will operate in a commercially focused environment, supporting senior leadership in overseeing financial performance, evaluating strategic initiatives and providing robust financial insight across a diverse portfolio of activities.
This role offers exposure to complex transactions, long-term capital planning and engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support senior leadership in overseeing financial performance and strategic direction across a portfolio of business activities
- Lead detailed financial analysis of business plans, investment proposals and funding strategies
- Evaluate capital expenditure programmes, financing structures, acquisitions, disposals and other material transactions
- Provide independent, evidence-based financial and commercial advice to key decision-makers
- Monitor financial risk, funding requirements and long-term sustainability considerations
- Contribute to the development of shareholder or stakeholder reporting materials
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders including government departments, regulated entities, advisors and senior executives
- Support delivery of strategic initiatives including sustainability, transformation and efficiency programmes
- Mentor and support junior team members as required
Requirements:
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA or equivalent)
- Significant experience (typically 8-12+ years) in corporate finance, advisory, infrastructure, or a large commercial organisation
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial evaluation skills
- Experience assessing complex investment cases and funding structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly
- Proven stakeholder management capability
- Ability to work independently across multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and strategic perspective
