    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable Wood Machinery Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various woodworking machines to produce high-quality wooden components and products according to specifications and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up, operate, and monitor woodworking machines such as saws, planers, jointers, sanders, CNC routers, lathes, and milling machines.
    • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine job specifications.
    • Measure and mark cutting lines on wood using rules, templates, or other guides.
    • Ensure machines are working at full capacity, are well-maintained, and perform quality checks on output.
    • Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
    • Load and unload materials onto machines and transport finished products as needed.
    • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations.
    • Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
    • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in woodworking or machine operation is a plus.
    • Proven experience in woodworking or operating industrial woodworking machinery.
    • Knowledge of various types of wood and woodworking techniques.
    • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers).
    • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
    • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with CNC wood machinery.
    • Forklift certification.
    • Basic computer skills for operating CNC software or production tracking systems.
