    IT Operations Lead / IT Service Delivery Specialist

    12 month Fixed Term Contract

    Salary €58,000

    Hybrid: 2 days onsite in South Dublin

    Exciting new opportunity for an experienced IT Operations Lead / IT Service Delivery Specialist to help deliver a significant Digital Transformation Programme.

    In this position, you'll be instrumental in overseeing managed service providers, leading on incident resolution and contributing to the strategic direction of our IT landscape. You'll ensure systems are reliable, secure and continuously evolving to meet business needs.

    Role:

    • Act as the primary point of contact and manager for external MSP, ensuring the reliable delivery of daily IT services, including server management, backup solutions, disaster recovery and proactive cyber threat monitoring.
    • Take ownership of resolving issues with our core business systems, including the Portal, Claims Management system and MS Dynamics.
    • Lead the resolution and timely escalation of IT incidents, coordinating with external providers during major disruptions and issuing accurate.
    • Proactively manage relationships with IT vendors and contractors, ensuring their services align with all policies and operational needs.
    • Contribute to the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of critical IT standards, policies and procedures (e.g., disaster recovery, security, AI policies).
    • Lead the procurement of IT services and products and actively participate in the governance and oversight of digital and IT solution proposals.
    • Provide second-level technical and application support to all staff, coordinating complex issue resolution with relevant application and system suppliers.
    • Manage the installation, maintenance and upgrades of end-user computing devices and hardware.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation.
    • Identify opportunities for service enhancement, drive continuous improvement initiatives within IT and contribute to the development of IT and data management strategies and work plans.
    • Lead and contribute to various IT-related projects outside of major digital transformation initiatives.
    • Maintain a broad knowledge of current technology solutions, trends and cybersecurity developments, proactively pursuing new advancements.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and proven management skills within an ICT setting.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects involving multiple stakeholders and complex interdependencies.
    • A track record of successfully managing IT contracts and relationships with external suppliers.
    • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with IT security principles and data protection regulations.
    • Proven experience in IT service delivery with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
    • A track record of taking initiative, proactively identifying solutions and contributing to IT strategies and work plans.
    • Keen awareness of and interest in the latest trends and developments across the IT landscape.
