We are looking for a proactive and tech-oriented IT professional to join our IT Asset Management and Employee Lifecycle team. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of corporate laptops and accessories, from deployment to disposal, while providing essential support to end users.
Working within a team of problem solvers, you will tackle various business challenges, ranging from strategy through to execution. Your core duties will include:
- Preparing and deploying IT equipment for new hires
- Managing hardware assets
- Refurbishing IT equipment
- Overseeing asset disposal
- Providing desktop support
The ideal candidate will ensure that our organization's laptops and accessories are efficiently refurbished, made available when needed, disposed of properly, or resold. Your contribution will be critical in ensuring these resources are accessible to employees in a timely manner.
This is a 6-month contract role based at our Dublin HQ, requiring regular in-office presence, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Laptop Refurbishment: Reformat, clean, and refurbish laptops for employee hardware swaps.
- Software Installation: Set up operating systems, drivers, and standard software on new or refurbished laptops to ensure they are ready for use.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance to new and existing employees, both in-office and remotely, helping them set up laptops and resolve hardware or software issues.
- System Support: Collaborate with asset managers and IT teams to track and manage laptop locations and recover replaced devices.
- Quality Assurance: Test and perform quality checks on laptops to ensure they meet company standards.
- Inventory Management: Conduct audits and maintain an organized inventory of hardware, keeping detailed records of stock levels, models, and conditions.
- Asset Disposition: Coordinate with vendors to recover and securely ship laptops for disposal or resale.
Required Skills & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 1-2 years in IT asset management, workplace technology, or IT support roles.
- Familiarity with asset management tools is a plus.
- Experience with Windows and macOS environments is advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, servers).
- Proficiency with Microsoft or Google Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 10 kgs independently, and up to 20 kgs with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in IT or IT asset management systems.
- Knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware.
- Understanding of hardware lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
- ITIL certification (desirable but not essential).
