The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for providing visibility across raw material and packaging inventory throughout a multi-site supply chain network. The role will focus on improving inventory performance, reducing waste and write-offs, and supporting effective material utilisation across suppliers, warehousing partners, and manufacturing operations.
This position offers excellent exposure across supply chain, planning, procurement, and finance functions within a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inventory analysis including usage trends, slow-moving stock, excess inventory, shortages, and obsolete materials.
- Identify root causes of inventory issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Produce and present inventory reports, KPIs, insights, and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
- Partner closely with Finance on inventory provisions, write-offs, and inventory-related financial risk assessments.
- Support inventory optimisation initiatives including material reallocation, stock reduction strategies, and consumption prioritisation.
- Lead inventory impact assessments for product transitions and discontinuations, ensuring effective run-down strategies are implemented.
- Manage inventory destruction governance processes, including approvals, tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to rebalance inventory across sites to improve utilisation and minimise waste.
- Challenge and improve existing planning assumptions relating to order quantities, safety stock levels, and shelf-life management.
- Work collaboratively with Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1-2 years' experience within inventory control, material planning, or a related supply chain function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and control techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
