Health & Safety Manager

The Opportunity
Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a senior leadership position based in Dublin.
This is a high-impact role with responsibility for driving Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across multiple operations, while also overseeing Facilities and Estates Management. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the delivery of strategic business objectives.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, this position offers the opportunity to influence organisational performance, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to long-term operational excellence.
Lead the development and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental strategies aligned to business objectives.
Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership, engagement, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish health, safety and environmental legislation and industry standards.
Oversee HSE management systems, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action programmes.
Lead the maintenance and development of ISO-based management systems and certifications.
Manage HSE budgets, resources and strategic planning activities.
Provide expert guidance and support to senior stakeholders across the business.
Lead safety leadership programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
Support operational and capital projects from a Health, Safety and Environmental perspective.
Oversee facilities and estates management, including maintenance, repairs, refurbishments and infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety requirements and environmental obligations.
Manage facilities-related suppliers and contractors to ensure service excellence and value for money.
Identify, assess and mitigate operational, compliance and facilities-related risks.
Proven experience in a senior Health, Safety and Environmental leadership role within manufacturing, FMCG, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, engineering or a similar industrial environment.
Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing or supply chain operations.
Demonstrated experience leading audits, compliance programmes and risk management activities.
Experience managing budgets, projects and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving organisational change and continuous improvement.
Experience in facilities, estates or site services management would be highly advantageous.
Degree qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, CMIOSH, CFM, PMP or equivalent are desirable.
