I am working with a professional services powerhouse driving large-scale digital and technology transformations. They empower their clients-spanning Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, and Wealth Management-to tackle their most complex technology challenges.
They are significantly expanding our Technology Strategy & Transformation practice in Dublin. Seeking visionary leaders at the Manager, Senior Manager, and Director levels to shape and guide technology strategies that help top-tier financial institutions align their IT landscapes with modern business and customer architectures.
In this role, you will lead high-performing advisory teams, engage directly with executive-level (C-suite) clients, and architect impactful digital solutions to drive future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Executive Engagement
- Strategic Advisory: Lead diverse consulting teams in delivering comprehensive solutions spanning digital strategy, CTO-domain advisory, agile operating model design, and IT cost optimization.
- C-Suite Management: Engage directly with business and technology leaders across the financial services sector to diagnose complex challenges and provide strategic problem-solving support.
- Investment Sequencing: Apply proven strategic planning frameworks to assist clients with high-level decision-making, roadmap design, and the sequencing of major technology investments.
Practice & Service Delivery Leadership
- Delivery Excellence: Direct the execution of comprehensive technology maturity assessments, target state definition, and complex transformation governance.
- Capability Growth: Play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our local Tech Strategy practice, ensuring alignment with market trends and driving continuous service innovation.
- Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance by coaching and mentoring junior consulting talent.
Business Development (Crucial for Senior Manager / Director levels)
- Market Origination: Identify and pursue strategic market opportunities, leading the end-to-end creation of high-impact proposals and client pitches.
- Cross-Practice Collaboration: Partner with wider consulting, risk, and data practices to deliver integrated, unified solutions to complex client ecosystem problems.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- A strong commitment to maintaining relevant professional certifications (e.g., Agile, Program Management, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture frameworks).
Ideal Experience Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or IT advisory, with clear exposure to consulting or corporate leadership roles. (Candidates with substantial leadership and commercial experience will be explicitly benchmarked for the Director track).
- Direct experience working within a top-tier global management consulting firm or an internal strategy group within a major financial institution.
- A passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems and a high degree of comfort managing variety in day-to-day corporate life.
