We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join a leading global financial services company based in Dublin 2 on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 days remote) and a competitive salary and benefits package. The position is focused on maintaining robust financial controls, producing accurate monthly management accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax obligations. The successful candidate will also support budgeting and forecasting processes while contributing to the continuous improvement of financial reporting and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Control: Ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts and financial statements, while identifying any inconsistencies or anomalies in financial data.
- Client Invoicing & Revenue Analysis: Manage client invoicing processes, including fee schedule reviews and accruals calculation by client and business line, while providing support on aged debtor management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate in the development of budgets and forecasts by collecting and analysing financial data from various departments to support income and expense projections.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and review tax statements for VAT and corporate tax, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and handling inquiries from oversight bodies.
- Process Improvement & Documentation: Contribute to the development of operational procedures and optimise processes related to regulatory reporting and financial control.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive reporting and effective communication of financial performance and regulatory obligations.
Key Requirements:
- Accounting Qualifications: ACCA, ACA, or CIMA certified, with a solid understanding of financial control and reporting.
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, with exposure to fund administration or asset servicing being highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word. Familiarity with SAS (Statistical Analysis System) is a plus.
- Communication Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising with both internal teams and external clients effectively.
- Team Leadership: A demonstrated interest or experience in mentoring and developing junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
