Financial Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join a leading FMCG organisation in West Dublin as a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role offers a flexible hybrid working model, with two days on-site and three days working from home.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you'll be part of a dynamic and thriving team within a well-established industry leader. This position provides a chance to contribute meaningfully to the business while gaining valuable experience and developing new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the timely and accurate production of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Manage period-end processes, including bank reconciliations and posting of journals
• Prepare and post accruals and prepayments as part of the month- and quarter-end close
• Carry out quarterly inter-company reconciliations and ensure prompt settlement of balances
• Take full responsibility for maintaining and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts for the reporting entity
• Review and approve new vendor setups, payment runs, and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and submit Revenue returns in line with statutory deadlines

Key Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Available to commence within 2-3 weeks
• Highly motivated, well organised, and detail-oriented
• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, or similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in IT systems, with excellent Excel skills
• Flexible, collaborative, and a strong team player
