Finance Manager - Logistics - Dublin 3

Role Overview

This is a permanent Finance Manager role reporting to the Financial Controller. The position requires a strong mix of commercial awareness, accounting expertise, and people management skills. The role involves regular interaction with senior management across the wider organisation. The position follows a hybrid working model with a significant on-site presence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting function, including Accounts Payable and the General Ledger
• Oversee the accounts payable process
• Provide training, guidance, and problem-solving support to members of the finance team
• Review monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage the reconciliation of customer sales to cash receipts
• Collaborate with Treasury to reconcile cash handling and payment processes
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Manage and report on key operational costs and expenditure
• Reconcile spending managed by third-party service providers
• Reconcile key costs and revenues in management accounts to the general ledger
• Participate in audit, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Assist the Financial Controller with annual budgets and forecasts
• Liaise with statutory auditors, addressing queries and supporting a smooth audit process
• Participate in organisation-wide and group-wide projects as required
• Support ad-hoc finance tasks as they arise

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant with 2-3 years post-qualification experience
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong deadline management and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Power BI

Systems Experience

The role uses a leading SAP financial accounting system, alongside third-party online banking platforms and internal sales systems. Experience with SAP systems is an advantage but not essential.
