Dispatch Warehouse Operative

A leading supplier in the building services sector is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Dispatch Warehouse Operative to join their team.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent service, and supporting day-to-day operations across trade counter and collections.

The Role

You will be responsible for serving customers at the trade counter and collections area, ensuring efficient order processing, and maintaining high standards of stock control and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly, professional, and efficient service to all customers
• Process sales and returns accurately using internal systems
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for collection and delivery
• Maintain clean, organised, and safe counter and warehouse areas
• Monitor and communicate order progress with customers and internal teams
• Carry out stock replenishment and assist with stock checks
• Ensure all goods received and dispatched are accurate and of high quality
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures

About You

• Previous experience in a trade counter, warehouse, or customer-facing role
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• High attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks thoroughly
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
• Basic computer skills (experience with ERP systems is an advantage)
• Knowledge of heating and plumbing products is desirable
• Manual handling certification is beneficial
