Job Title: Design Manager - High-Rise Residential Project

Our client is a leading Tier 1 Irish construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering landmark projects across Ireland. With a commitment to quality, safety, and innovation, they are now seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their team and take a lead role on a major high-rise apartment development in Dublin.
The Role
As Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring that all design information is produced on time, to budget, and to the highest standards. You will liaise closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the project team to coordinate design solutions that meet both technical and commercial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design process for a high-rise residential project.
- Coordinate between consultants, subcontractors, and the in-house project team.
- Ensure design deliverables are issued in line with programme and project requirements.
- Manage design risks and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Monitor compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and contractual obligations.
- Drive value engineering while maintaining quality standards.
- Report directly to the Project Director and contribute to project strategy.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Design Manager or similar role, ideally with Tier 1 contractors or large-scale developers.
- Strong track record delivering complex residential or commercial projects, with high-rise experience desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations and construction standards.
