Depositary Operations Analyst (Contract)

Overview
A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Depositary Operations Analyst to join its Dublin-based team on a contract basis. This is a client-facing role responsible for ensuring investment funds operate in accordance with regulatory requirements and fund documentation.
The position offers significant exposure to clients and internal stakeholders, making strong communication and relationship management skills essential. It is ideally suited to candidates with depositary experience, particularly those with exposure to investment restrictions and regulatory breaches monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Investment & Compliance Monitoring
- Complete investment and borrowing limit checks
- Perform investment restriction and leverage reviews
- Monitor monthly investment manager confirmations, including VaR reporting
- Maintain and update the regulatory breaches register
- Respond promptly to internal and client queries
Data Management & MI Reporting
- Support the production of management information (MI) and risk reporting
- Monitor and complete fund risk assessment reporting
Client, Board & Regulatory Reporting
- Assist with quarterly board reporting and monthly client reporting
- Deliver client reporting within agreed deadlines
- Support internal risk reporting processes
- Assist with regulatory submissions to the Central Bank of Ireland
- Issue standard regulatory correspondence
- Support audit processes, including confirmation letters and holdings schedules
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of team procedures
- Escalate issues to management in a timely manner
- Support broader depositary operations activities
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multi-team environment
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Solid understanding of investment fund structures, including complex asset classes
- Knowledge of depositary/trustee regulations, particularly relating to Irish funds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with fund accounting or transfer agency systems is advantageous
Experience & Qualifications
- Third-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification
- Previous experience within financial services
- Depositary experience is strongly preferred
- Experience monitoring investment restrictions and regulatory breaches is highly desirable
- Exposure to Irish or Luxembourg investment funds would be beneficial
