Business Development Manager Components & Contract Sales
Location: Dublin / Leinster. Field-based with regular travel to the UK as required.

My client, a leading bed manufacturer, based in Dublin is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of their component sales and contract category across Ireland and UK. This is a pivotal role focused on winning and sustaining new business, ideal for a proactive 'hunter' profile with a passion for building strong customer relationships and driving commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow sales in the foam, semi-finished, and BIB component sectors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, converting prospects into long-term customers.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, operations, finance) to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.
- Potential involvement in contract category sales depending on business needs.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to the Sales and Marketing Director and wider business.
Skills and qualifications
- Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within industrial components, materials, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong business development skills with a hunter mentality.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Skilled at managing day-to-day customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to travel widely and regularly across Ireland and the UK as required.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
