As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be a key part of the Finance Department, ensuring accurate posting, reconciliations, and documentation across the organisation and its subsidiaries. Working with Sage Intacct and other systems, you'll help maintain financial control and support both operational and statutory reporting.
Cash & Banking: Daily reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies, posting receipts and payments with clear audit trails.
Receivables: Process invoices, assist with direct debit/EFT batches, issue monthly statements, and follow up on aged debtors.
Payables: Record supplier invoices, manage purchase orders, track approvals, and support EFT payment runs in line with policy.
Month-End & Audit: Prepare reconciliations, journals, and intercompany postings, maintaining organised records for audit and review.
Payroll & Additional Support: Assist with payroll inputs, VAT returns, pension updates, and contribute to process improvement projects.
Accounting Technician qualification (or working towards it) preferred.
2+ years' experience in a busy finance environment.
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP system desirable.
Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting principles.
Proven ability in reconciliations, journal posting, and financial recordkeeping.
Detail‑oriented, reliable, and consistent in approach.
