    Morgan McKinley is partnering with a well-established and evolving organisation to appoint an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager. This is a key leadership role requiring a hands-on, people-focused manager with strong organisational capability and a passion for continuous improvement.

    The successful candidate will take full responsibility for warehouse and transport operations, overseeing end-to-end activity including goods receipt, inventory management, order fulfilment, and customer delivery. This role offers the opportunity to drive positive change within a growing business while leading and developing a high-performing operational team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Warehouse & Transport Operations

    • Plan, organise, manage, and actively participate in day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and distribution.

    • Ensure inventory accuracy, availability, and control, minimising discrepancies and managing returns from customers to suppliers.

    • Oversee transport fleet operations, including fleet performance, compliance, records, driver management, and driver performance.

    • Proactively plan warehouse capacity to support inbound stock and customer order volumes.

    • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.

    • Analyse operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement efficiency-driven initiatives.

    People Leadership

    • Provide strong, visible leadership and clear direction to the warehouse and transport teams.

    • Recruit, train, manage, evaluate, and develop warehouse employees to support both current and future operational needs.

    • Build effective working relationships with internal departments, branches, and key stakeholders.

    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture that promotes teamwork and professional development.

    Skills & Experience

    • Proven management experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role within a warehouse, logistics, or operational environment.

    • Background in warehouse operations and transport is highly desirable; candidates from retail or FMCG environments will also be considered.

    • Working knowledge of transport regulations, fleet management, and compliance standards is an advantage.

    • Strong IT capability, with experience using ERP systems and Microsoft applications.

    • Third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline is advantageous.

    • LEAN or continuous improvement qualifications are an advantage.

    • Full driving licence required; C licence desirable.

    • Health & Safety qualifications are an advantage.
